Nachi Grand FallWakayama Prefecture is the area enjoying natural blessings and historical assets located in the southwest of Kii peninsula, which is the largest in Japan, facing the Pacific Ocean. The scene and natural features created by greenery mountains, coastline showing magnificent scenes with Kuroshio Current spreading more than 600km, and clean river which goes through them allures people throughout the year. Especially, Kumano-san-zan and Koya-san are holy places having inspired people with awe since ancient times, great historical and cultural assets that Japan is proud of. Also, its mild climate and bountiful nature is producing harvest of mountains, rivers, ocean and contributing to develop plenty of scenic resources and products. It is also the nearest prefecture from Kansai International Airport, Japan's new entrance in the sky, to prefectural capital (Wakayama City).

Annual average temperature is just over or below 17 degrees, and is generally warm in coastal areas. In the inland that cut down mountainous area, it is 11 or less degrees, and there is a difference in temperature with coastal areas.

The Northern part of the area have comparatively little precipitation of about 1300mm a year, on the other hand, the Southern part have large precipitation of over 2500mm a year.

The humidity is just over and below 65% - 70%. There is no great difference throughout the year.
< Snowfall >
There is a snowfall of 10 to 20cm at Koya-san, Shimizu, and Ryujin in Mountain/Inland areas. But, there is less snowfall at other areas.
Wakayama (Japan) has sultry and tiring summer. The sultry season begins from mid May and ends around September. It has mild climate in winter, having little snowfall excluding the mountain areas. The rainy season sets in June, having most frequent rainy days. It has comfortable seasons in April and May in the spring, October and November in the autumn.
